FAQs

1. Is the ACMER PM Series suitable for beginners or professional users?
Yes. The ACMER PM Series is designed as an entry-to-professional fiber laser marking machine, making it ideal for beginners, creators, and growing businesses. Entry-level users can start with a 20W or 30W fiber laser for precision marking, while advanced users can upgrade to higher power or MOPA models for color marking and deeper engraving. Its modular design allows you to scale your capabilities without replacing the entire machine.
2. What is the difference between the standard Fiber and MOPA versions?
The standard fiber laser models (20W / 30W / 50W) are ideal for high-speed metal marking, serial numbers, logos, and industrial identification. The MOPA laser version (30W / 60W) offers a wider frequency range (1–4000 kHz), allowing color marking on stainless steel, better heat control, and more refined deep engraving results. If you require color engraving or enhanced surface finishing, the MOPA model is the recommended choice.
3. How fast and precise is the ACMER PM Series?
The PM Series uses an industrial galvanometer scanning system capable of engraving speeds up to 15,000 mm/s. It also delivers ultra-high 0.01 mm precision, ensuring crisp edges and uniform marking across the entire working area. Combined with a matched F-Theta lens, the system maintains consistent focus and accuracy even during high-volume production.
4. Does the ACMER PM Series support deep engraving and rotary engraving?
Yes. All models support deep metal engraving, with maximum single-pass depths depending on power (up to 0.10 mm on 50W models). The machine also supports rotary attachments and column lift adjustments, allowing engraving on cylindrical, curved, and tall objects such as rings, bracelets, pipes, and tumblers. The 360° rotating head further expands multi-angle engraving capability.
5. What materials and software are compatible with the ACMER PM Series?
The ACMER PM Series supports engraving on over 150 materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, brass, coated metals, plastics, and specialty surfaces. It integrates seamlessly with LightBurn and BSL App, and is compatible with Windows and macOS systems. This ensures smooth workflow integration for workshops, studios, and industrial production environments.
