ACMER P3 48W / 24W Diode Enclosed Laser Engraver – FDA Class I CoreXY Laser Cutting & Engraving Machine with 800mm/s Speed, Built-in HD Camera, 30L Air Assist & Conveyor Up to 4,000mm for Wood, Acrylic & Metal

The acrylic panel is 15mm thick and the client needs it cut clean, in one pass, without fumes drifting across the room. The wood sign is 18mm plywood and it needs to be done before end of day. And the space this machine sits in is shared — which means Class 4 open-frame laser operation is not an option. The ACMER P3 48W resolves every one of these constraints in a single enclosed machine. FDA Class I certification means no protective eyewear is required under normal operating conditions. 48W of diode power cuts 18mm plywood and 18mm black acrylic in a single pass. CoreXY motion at 800mm/s keeps production moving. A built-in HD camera handles visual positioning inside the enclosure. An integrated 30L/min air pump removes the need for an external unit. And when the job is longer than 400mm, the optional conveyor extends the work area to 4,000mm — without changing machines. For serious makers, small businesses, and shared spaces that need maximum cutting power with zero safety compromise, the P3 48W delivers both in one machine.

48W Diode Power – 18mm Plywood, 18mm Black Acrylic, One Pass

The P3 48W uses a 48W diode laser with a 0.09×0.10mm spot — the highest single-pass cutting capacity in the enclosed diode category. 18mm plywood and 18mm black acrylic cut clean in a single pass at 800mm/s.

The 24W variant delivers 12mm plywood and 8mm acrylic single-pass, with a finer 0.07×0.09mm spot for more precise engraving detail. Both variants run on the same CoreXY frame and accessory ecosystem. Laser module life: 10,000 hours on both variants.

FDA Class I Enclosed Design – Full Safety, No Compromise

The P3 48W / 24W is certified to FDA Class I laser safety standards. Under normal operating conditions with the lid closed, no protective eyewear is required. The fully enclosed structure with a UV-filtering transparent cover contains laser light, smoke, and fine particulates during operation.

For businesses in shared offices, schools, and maker spaces where open-frame Class 4 lasers create liability or insurance concerns, FDA Class I certification at 48W is the combination most enclosed machines cannot offer — maximum power with full safety compliance.

CoreXY at 800mm/s – Production Speed in an Enclosed Machine

CoreXY moves only the laser head — not the gantry and head together — dramatically reducing moving mass and enabling higher acceleration without losing accuracy. The P3 reaches 800mm/s maximum engraving speed, matching or exceeding many open-frame machines at the same power class.

For production users: a photo-quality grayscale engraving on a 400mm sign completes faster than on a conventional gantry machine, and the enclosed design means the machine can run during working hours in a shared space without safety interruptions or air quality concerns.

Built-in HD Camera + 30L Air Assist – No Add-Ons Required

The P3 includes two features typically purchased separately: an integrated HD camera for visual job positioning and layout preview inside the enclosure, and a built-in 30L/min air assist pump for clean, continuous cutting.

The camera lets you drag and drop designs onto a live material preview — no manual coordinate entry, no alignment burns. The air pump clears combustion gases from the cut zone as the laser moves, preventing flare-ups, reducing char on edges, and extending lens life. Both features are integrated and ready from first power-on — no extra power supply or mounting required.

Conveyor to 4,000mm + Module Ecosystem – Unlimited Length, Expandable Platform

Add the optional auto conveyor and the work area expands to 4,000mm in the feed direction — enabling long board engraving, banner-length acrylic cutting, and automated batch production with material auto-advance.

The optional 2W IR laser module (Pro Max bundle) adds marking capability on bare metals and 300+ additional materials the diode laser cannot address. The P3's 24W diode, dual-laser, and 2W IR modules are cross-compatible with ACMER P2 — extending your module investment across the ACMER ecosystem.

FAQs

2. Can the ACMER P3 laser modules be used on the P2?
Yes, the P3 24W diode laser, 2W IR laser and Dual-Laser can be used on ACMER P2. However the 48W diode laser is not recommended.
3. Can the A2 IR laser module be used on ACMER P3 machine?
No,the A2 can be used on the P1 and P2, but it is not compatible with the P3.
4. What is the difference between the A2 IR laser module and the ACMER P3 2W IR laser module?
The A2 is a long-focus laser, while ACMER P3 2W is a short-focus laser with a smaller laser spot, resulting in more precise engraving.
5. What materials can ACMER P3 engrave and cut?
metal, plastic, non-transparent acrylic (except white).
6. What is the maximum size that ACMER P3 can engrave?
The maximum engraving size for the ACMER P3 depends on the laser modules and the presence of a conveyor. With a 24W diode laser or 2W IR laser, the maximum engraving size is 400mm x 400mm. For models with a 48W diode laser or dual-laser, the maximum engraving size is 400mm x 390mm. However, if the machine is equipped with our optional conveyor, the engraving size can be expanded to a maximum length of 4000mm, allowing you to engrave larger objects or continuous designs.
7. Are the honeycomb beds for ACMER P3 and P2 interchangeable?
The honeycomb bed used in ACMER P3 has positioning holes for fixation, which prevents misalignment during the pulling process. The height of the honeycomb bed for ACMER P3 is 13mm, while other honeycomb beds have a height of 22mm. Therefore, the honeycomb bed for ACMER P3 is compatible with P2. However, the honeycomb beds for P2 cannot be used on ACMER P3.
8. Is the ACMER P3 fully compatible with LightBurn?
Yes, ACMER P3 is 100% compatible with LightBurn software.
9. What is the difference between IR laser and diode laser?
IR laser and diode laser are two different wavelengths of light that produce different engraving effects on various materials. IR laser is the perfect choice for metal engraving, such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum, iron, stainless steel, etc. It produces a smaller laser spot, resulting in more precise engraving. Additionally, it can also engrave materials like ABS, acrylic, PC, leather, and stone. Diode laser, on the other hand, is the ideal choice for wood engraving. It provides precise engraving and is also suitable for materials like ceramic, acrylic, and plastic. Moreover, diode lasers have a stronger cutting capability. When choosing a laser for engraving, consider the material you want to engrave and select the appropriate laser based on its characteristics.
